The CoolSculpting® Elite procedure delivers controlled cooling to gently, effectively and safely target the fat cells underneath the skin. Treated fat cells are frozen and then die off. Over time, your body naturally processes the fat and eliminates these dead cells, leaving a more ‘sculpted you’.

CoolSculpting® Elite is FDA-approved for the treatment of visible fat bulges in the submental area (under chin), thigh, abdomen and flank, along with bra fat, back fat, underneath the buttocks (also known as banana roll), and upper arm. It is also FDA-cleared to affect the appearance of lax tissue when treating the submental area.

The design of the CoolSculpting® Elite applicators has been upgraded. The new contoured applicators fit your body’s natural curves for maximum results and comfort. The new C-shape (instead of U-shaped) contour means less squeezing on the tissue. Treatment is more relaxing, and post treatment soreness is reduced.

The new patented technology lessens the need to squeeze the area treated. Squeezing may reduce the oxygenation of treated fat, contributing to the potential side effect of Paradoxical Adipose Hyperplasia (PAH). In PAH, a treated area can get firm and grow larger instead of shrinking. The incidence of this side effect has been approximately 1 in 4,000 cycles over the past decade of CoolSculpting procedures. How Cool Sculpting® Elite Works

When patients receive CoolSculpting® Elite treatments for non-invasive fat removal, a patented cooling applicator is applied to the desired area of fat reduction to cool the underlying fat tissue without damage to other tissues. It is often effective in targeting excess fat of the abdomen, thigh, buttocks, chin, upper arm, and other areas of excess fat.

When fat cells are exposed to precise cooling, they trigger a process of natural removal that gradually reduces the thickness of the fat layer.

The procedure is 1-3 hours max! And there is no downtime, no needles, no anesthesia. You may need more than 1 treatment, but many patients see huge improvements just after 2 treatments.

During the procedure, you may experience sensations of pulling, tugging, mild pinching, intense cold, tingling, stinging, aching and cramping at the treatment site. These sensations subside as the area becomes numb. Following the procedure, typical side effects include temporary redness, swelling, blanching, bruising, firmness, tingling, stinging, tenderness, cramping, aching, itching or skin sensitivity, as well as sensation of fullness in the back of the throat after a submental area treatment. Rare side effects may also occur. CoolSculpting® Elite is not for everyone. You should not have the CoolSculpting® Elite procedure if you suffer from cryoglobulinemia, cold agglutinin disease, or paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria. The CoolSculpting® Elite procedure is not a treatment for obesity.
